Breakout the Crossbow

Today I had the chance to dust off my Parker Buck Buster 175 crossbow and put some bolts down range and on target.

I started the day shooting a tight three shot group at 20 yards, I was shooting about four inches low.  After a quick scope adjustment (20 clicks up), I was on target.  Then I was good at 30, 40 and 50 yards.

Going to the range and shooting my crossbow is the best Saturday I could ask for.  The best part is I get to practice until September before hopefully getting a whitetail in my sights!

  1. The Parker Buck-Buster is astonishing. I checked out a lot of other crossbows. This one shoots excellent, and is amazingly accurate. In addition to very little string ware. Stop wasting your time looking at another brand. I bought the Parker buckbuster 175. It is a solid, dependable crossbow. For the guy that wrote he had a problem with the anti-dry fire and gave it 1-star. He does not know how to re-set the anti-dry fire switch. Once you pull the trigger without an arrow on the top rail, it must be re-set. Pull back the string with a rope-cocker until you feel it reset (pull back a little further then you normally would during cocking it). Then the crossbow is ready to shoot again. Easy fix! Parker provides lifetime warranty and that is what sold me on Parker!
