DIY iphone 5 Scope

 

I worked with a friend to make this low cost iphone 5 scope for a wounded warrior who is blind.  His hunting partner can see through his scope and give him directions and when to safely shoot.

 

It attaches to a scope using a simple hose clamp.  We have about $8.00 invested...

 

What I discovered while testing it on Sunday was, I like it too!  This could be used for hunters with mobility issues as well as visually impaired hunters.  What are your thoughts?

I wish every state would have a Disabilities Advisory Committee but I would call it "The Accessibility Committee"  and focus on what people can do and not put the emphasis on disability....

With the right laws, access and adapted equipment more people could enjoy the great outdoors.  This could drive increased license sales and retail sales too.  God knows I spend a small fortune, lol.

Today it’s been 14 years living my life with a spinal cord injury. Family and friends make life worth living not just existing.  Life has been reinvented, changed, relocated and put back together with wire, screws and sometimes duct tape.  14 years is a bonus...

DNR EagleCam  This is really cool !  live video of a MN Twin Cities eagle nest. Three eggs were laid in the nest sometime around Jan. 1, 2013. Eggs are incubated about 35 days, and young eagles leave the nest about eight to 14 weeks after hatching, although young birds often stay around and continue to be cared for by their parents another six weeks. This pair of eagles has nested in the same area since about 2010, fledging at least one chick in that time.

Once pushed to the brink of extinction, the Bald Eagle has made a powerful comeback since the pesticide DDT was banned in the early 1970s. Minnesota has more Bald Eagles than any other state in the lower 48 states.
